Build Up Your Basics

Make what you own super versatile, by adding the best core items to your wardrobe.

What’s holding you back from effortless style?

It’s not a style secret that basics set a great foundation for a persons wardrobe, it’s just that we often don’t prioritise buying them!

We get a bit too excited over the printed dresses and shirts with slogans on them. We saw those ‘can only wear them sitting’ heels and got those over a good pair of ‘goes with everything’ ‘could run from a serial-killer in them’ pumps. We’ve all done it! But now its time to prioritise your style and that means we need to find your best core wardrobe items.

How It Works:

  • Book & Prep

Scroll down to choose your edit date, pay online then get your welcome pack. You’ll then submit some prep via an online form so I can start preparing for your session.

  • Virtual Style Consultation

We’ll sit down over a cuppa on Zoom and discuss what you’re needing, the shapes best suited to you and what garments would best suit your lifestyle.

  • Shop Your Edit

In the hours following your consultation, I’ll be running your virtual edit. This will be returned to you on the day so you can start shopping straight away!

Every day core wardrobe

 Core Wardrobe VS. Capsule Wardrobe

Which is best for you, and what are the differences?

  • A Core Wardrobe is a selection of wardrobe basics that mix and match into your current wardrobe, regardless of occasion or how much you already own.

  • A Capsule Wardrobe is a small selection of clothing, both basics and statement pieces that are designed to all go together, but suit one area of your lifestyle, ie: work or going out.

  • When you have some great items in your wardrobe, but nothing to go with them, your wardrobe is lacking the foundation pieces it needs to be versatile, so you’ll be best with a core wardrobe edit.

  • If you love the idea of having seperate areas of your wardrobe to work with, like clothes just for work and just for casual, a capsule wardrobe is ideal.

The Virtual Style Consultation

These sessions are where we put the plan in place for your edit. After you’ve submitted your prep we’ll run through the best possible clothing shapes to try, I’ll talk through a break down of what I’ll shop for and we’ll discuss any tricky points like sizing, allergies, likes and dislikes.

What type of preparation you need to do?

You’ll get a welcome pack upon purchasing your session, which gives you a step by step on what you need to submit. In a nutshell, I’ll need your sizing & measurements, a full length photo of you, some images of your wardrobe and a link to your Pinterest board or style inspiration.

 FAQs

  • A core wardrobe is a selection of plain garments that form the base or foundation of your wardrobe. These are the things you get lots of wear out of, ie: jeans, tee’s, a good casual jacket, everyday shoes, etc.

Think of a core wardrobe as a selection of garments that are your workhorses!

  • This service is entirely online. You can book a shopping session in-person to work on your core wardrobe basics too!

Just scroll to the top, click your gender and select ‘Personal Shopping’.

  • Yes! You can be petite, mid-size, plus-size, male or female to enjoy my services.

  • It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. While I always suggest buying your winter clothes in winter and your summer in summer, lots of garments in your core wardrobe are used all year around. We can focus your edit on the current season, or build a year-round core wardrobe.

  • Yes, in fact, there’s a big focus on this as these garments are going to get lots of wear. We want to strike that perfect balance between what suits your body shape, what your style is, and what your lifestyle is like.

  • You have up to five item revisions in this service. So if you don’t like an item, it sold out before you could buy it, you’d prefer it in another colour, etc - just hit reply after I send your edit and I’ll send you up to five revised item links.

  • When you purchase the session you’ll receive a welcome pack which details your prep.

In a nutshell, you’ll need to have Zoom downloaded, know your measurements, submit a few photos of you and your wardrobe and create a Pinterest board to show me the types of clothing you like.
